About Amgen Tour of California
Amgen Tour of California is an annual professional cycling event that is the only men’s cycling event in the U.S. on the UCI WorldTour calendar and attracts some of the most renowned cyclists and teams in the world. The seven-day Men's stage race will begin the 2018 race in Long Beach and conclude in Sacramento, covering more than 600 miles, this will be the third time in the event’s 13 year history that the peloton will travel from south to north in the Golden State.
Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race empowered with SRAM is a UCI WorldTour race that will span over three days and will travel from Elk Grove to South Lake Tahoe & Sacramento in 2018. Providing an international platform for women’s racing, the Amgen Tour of California Women’s Race attracts the world’s top female cyclists and teams in the world.

The Amgen Tour of California and the Amgen Tour of California Women's Race empowered with SRAM are Tour de France-style cycling road races created and presented by AEG. Running concurrently, the races challenges the world's top professional cycling teams to compete along demanding courses that traverses hundreds of miles of California's iconic highways, byways and coastlines each spring. The teams chosen to participate have included Olympic medalists, Tour de France contenders and World Champions, and award important, world-ranking points to the top finishers.
